Notice is hereby given that LAMAR COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI by and through its Board of Supervisors will receive written, sealed bids until 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 for the Purchase and Replacement of Detention Door Hardware.
Instructions to bidders:
1. Bid documents are available for distribution to any interested party, commercial or private citizen. Bid Documents and specifications are being made available via paper copy. Plan Holders are required to log-in or register for an account to view or order bid documents at http://www.lamarcountymsbids.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. For questions regarding website registration and online orders, please contact Plan House at 601-336-6378. For questions related to the contract documents, please contact Jordan Dement at 601-794-3439. No partial sets of bid documents will be issued.
2. All Proposals shall be submitted on Bid Forms provided with the specifications and delivered to the Office of the Board of Supervisors located at the William “Pete” Gamble Chancery Courthouse, 403 Main Street, Purvis, Mississippi. Bids may be submitted in person, or for those interested, bids can be electronically submitted at http://www.lamarcountymsbids.com under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered.
3. All bids must be in a sealed envelope with “Purchase and Replacement of Detention Door Hardware” printed on the outside of the envelope. No responsibility will be attached to any person employed by Lamar County, Mississippi for the premature opening of any bid not being properly addressed and identified as stated above and more specifically: “Purchase and Replacement of Detention Door Hardware”, OPENING DATE/TIME: March 15, 2022, 9:00 a.m.
4. All bids must state firm prices applicable to the scope of work defined in bid documents.
5. It shall be incumbent upon each bidder to understand the specifications and to obtain clarification when necessary. It is not the intent of the specifications to limit the bidding process, but to fill a specific need and to perform a specific task.
6. Lamar County, Mississippi reserves the right to determine the lowest and best bid and to accept or reject any or all bids using reasonable, equitable and lawful criteria. Lamar County, Mississippi is an equal opportunity employer.
